  • Retreats are held each year, one in the Spring and one in the Fall.  The retreats are held in different parts of Oklahoma.

  • At the retreat a short business meeting conducted by OSQO officers brings the membership up-to-date on activities across the state.

  • A program is presented at each retreat by a nationally recognized quilt teacher.

  • Quilting classes are taught by the national teacher and our own Oklahoma quilt experts.

  • “Show and Share” is always an eagerly awaited segment of OQSO retreats for it is then that members share their completed quilts.  The quilts are always exciting and inspiring.

  • Quilt vendor booths are open during each retreat selling everything from fabric to patterns and all of the latest quilting notions.

The highlight of our year, the retreats enables quilting friends to gather for a relaxed weekend of sharing and learning.  The natural beauty of the surroundings and the delicious food at the Oklahoma Lodges provide the perfect setting for classes, exhibits, skits, shopping and more!

Our Fall Retreat 2010 will be held in the beautiful setting of Lake Murray State Park located in Southeastern Oklahoma on the shores of Lake Murray, Ardmore, Oklahoma.  For more information on Lake Murray State Park you can visit their website at Oklahoma State Parks.

A nationally known quilt teacher is brought to our state each Spring and Fall to share the latest techniques.  The price of the classes are kept low.  Through programs and displays, OQSO encourages members and the public to preserve information about their quilts and instructs them in appropriate preservation techniques.
